This report presents a comprehensive overview of the green finance ecosystem supporting tourism MSMEs in India, with a specific focus on the coastal state of Kerala along the Lakshadweep Sea. It analyses the national and state-level policy context, tourism trends, and the role of financial institutions in enabling sustainable investments. The report maps existing green finance schemes relevant to energy efficiency, rooftop solar, and zero waste solutions, highlighting opportunities and gaps in access to finance. It documents PROMISE project efforts to sensitise financial institutions and MSMEs through workshops and one-to-one engagement.
