The Training Guidebook on Toxic Waste Handling by Waste Pickers was prepared as part of the EU SWITCH-Asia PREVENT PLASTICS project. The purpose of this guidebook is to raise awareness among waste pickers on the possible negative health effects brought by improper handling of toxic waste. The publication includes topics of hygiene and use of PPEs in the context of waste pickers. It also covers themes such as waste segregation, handling and the actions required at higher level for the welfare of the waste pickers' community.
