ACIDLOOP

Brief Description

The overall objectives of the project are (a) Improved urban environmental quality in the urban regions of National Capital Region (NCR) and Ludhiana; Pune and Ahmedabad; Hyderabad and Madurai (b) Improved living conditions in the target regions (c) improved production technologies.  Specifically the 4-year action aims to introduce technology innovation as well as resourse efficiency in the metal finishing companies (SMEs) that would lead to improved environmental quality and combat pollution through advanced water treatment measures and energy efficient processes.

The project will also contribute to:

Enhance Innovation: Implementation of technology innovation and resource efficiency by enhancing the rate and scale of innovation by Indian companies.

Enhance Competitiveness: Sustainable Production in the metal finishing industry will help to reduce risks and reduce costs, to increase options, to gain customers and to propel the company towards global competitiveness.
