Regional Policy Component

The SWITCH-Asia Programme includes a Policy Support Component which targets national and regional policy frameworks and their potential to encourage the uptake of SCP practices. The component therefore contributes to green growth, poverty reduction, and the fulfilment of the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs). The component is being launched in 2011 and works with national authorities to initiate or strengthen policies for mainstreaming SCP in regional, sub-regional and national development programmes.
