Creating Synergies at the 2nd Networking Event

All SWITCH-Asia project promote sustainable consumption or sustainable production. Every year SWITCH-Asia project meet to facilitates the exchange of information, best practises and  provide impetus to explore opportunities for collaboration. The 2nd Networking Event started with an afternoon of interactive sessions to encourage synergies and collaboration between SWITCH-Asia project. The team leader of the SWITCH-Asia Network Facility, Frans Verspeek, addressed the participants from 30 countries. He introduced the agenda and the objectives of the event. His presentation was followed by an interactive poster exhibition and a synergy web. Chinese and EU officals adressed the audience on the morning of October 13 in an official welcome session. Their topics: Green Growth, the benefits of industrial symbiosis and the future of the SWITCH-Asia programme.

The 2nd Networking Event continues until October 14 in Beijing. The participants included representatives of the SWITCH-Asia funded projects, SWITCH-Asia Network Facility project partners, officials from the European Commission, and Asian government officials.

 

The overall objective of the 2010 Networking Meeting is to identify and discuss regional means and processes that enhance the outreach of the SWITCH-Asia projects and the replication of SCP in Asia. Interactive workshop session will also focus on good communication practices in dissemination of project results and achievements, especially how the projects can prepare a good exit strategy.
