China Carbon Trading Forum 2011’s held, is to adapt to China`s current demand, speed up the adjustment of energy structure, actively develop low-carbon energy, to build a stable, economic, clean and safe energy supply system, in order to carbon trading as an opportunity, energy security and the sustainable development of economy and society.

 

The gloom of Kyoto Protocol's second commitment period also made the future of CDM full of uncertainty, which also made domestic CDM market once dwindling. Although no one knows for sure that how will the CDM function after 2012, some practitioners still get the hope that the market will be booming again in the future.

After the Copenhagen Conference, China promulgated the revised' renewable energy law', the Chinese government will strive to make 2020 the renewable energy consumption to total energy consumption of 15%, and the establishment of renewable energy development fund and other powerful incentive policies to promote renewable energy development and utilization, for the renewable energy industry offers great opportunities.
