When mirco-enterprises grow, they professionalise their operations. At a certain point of growth, additional funding is need – for technology investments, for innovation, for expanding operation. Financing solutions could come from credit financing, equity financing, venture capital, angels, institutional funds, etc. depending on the maturity and needs of the SMEs/entrepreneurs. But demand and supply do not often match. There are many challenges on both sides – on the side of the bank or investors and on the side of the SMES.
